Dear Voters,
I am running for the Northampton Area School Board because I believe in strong public schools and responsible financial planning, and I have the track record to prove it.
The truth is simple; I always put the best interests of our entire school district and students first while being fiscally responsible. In 2023, I voted to continue construction of the East Allen Elementary School saving the school district from losing at least $10 million or possibly $80 million. That vote provided a solution to the overcrowding in the Northampton Borough Elementary Schools. That didn’t happen by accident. It happened because I do the hard work reading the fine print, asking the right questions, understanding the facts, and making decisions with logic and reason, not politics or personal agendas.
My critics may try to twist that work or misrepresent my intentions, but it won’t stop me from standing up for what’s right.
I care deeply about public education and the Northampton Area School District. The importance of education is obvious if you have a student in school like my son. But for those that don’t you must remember education is the foundation of American innovation and ensures the United States remains the symbol of success around the world.
I’m here to ensure all our kids get the education they deserve without wasting taxpayer dollars. That’s why I have the support of the teachers’ union, and many voters on both sides of the aisle. Those closest to our students know I care deeply about public education and doing what’s right for our schools.
I know we can have both high-quality schools and smart fiscal management. We need both. High-quality schools and fair taxes require effort, time, a thorough understanding of school district budget, and long-term planning. I will continue to work hard to understand the challenges and success of our school district and apply logic and reason to get the best results for the students and taxpayers.
Please don’t believe the miss truths being spread around. Look past the noise and focus on the facts. I have an engineering degree from Lehigh University, I am the president of a local family-owned iron foundry, I am also actively involved in volunteering in our community, at the volunteer fire company, the youth lacrosse league, and the orchestra booster club. I believe my background gives me a unique skill set that is valuable to the school district. I have been to almost every school board meeting for several years before and after I was elected to the school board. My record stands on its own and I’ll continue fighting for what’s best for our students, taxpayers, teachers, and community.
Good schools help our community. Good schools improve home values, decrease crime, and help keep young people in our community. If you believe, like I do, that strong schools are worth the investment—and that we need leaders who understand both numbers and people, I ask for your vote. I am happy to answer any questions.
